Our Care
Introduction
Personally tailored and holistic care
At Leighton House we have a long history of caring for
older people and we put residents at the heart of
everything we do. With all our experience and passion
we deliver personally tailored care, to meet the needs
and expectations of the next generation of older people.
Because each of us is unique we
encourage you to choose how
your care is planned and
delivered. Working very closely
with residents and their families
we always build a personal picture of each resident’s
needs. Little things can make a big difference, so we
always strive to understand the important details. We
call it person-centred care because it’s built around you
or your loved one and their preferences.
On admission each resident is assessed and a plan of
care formulated. This plan will cover all areas of a
resident's life and will not focus just purely on problems
and physical matters but aims to enhance the resident's
quality of life and promote independence were possible.
With regular reviews we continue to ensure that we
continue to deliver the care that is needed.
We appreciate the wide and varied aspects that
contribute to our residents’ well being. Our holistic
approach to residential care encompasses the physical
needs of each resident, as well as their emotional,
social, religious and psychological well being.
Leighton House provides a full range of health care
facilities as is necessary to all our residents general well
being. District Nurse, Chiropodist, Dentist, Optician,
Audiologist and Doctor regularly review all residents'
health care needs. Some referrals will have to be
requested through their own GP.
Our aim is to enable you to settle into your new home
smoothly, comfortably and with ease.
